The election – it’s all about the numbers.
Be clear, what’s below is all rumour and hearsay – but we’ve been told a few interesting things about attendance figures for yesterday’s elections.
The most positive is from one candidate who thinks that the turnout for their seat might be as high as 70%.
The other is at the frightening end of the scale. One ward in Newport may have had a turnout as low as 4%.
All of these may, of course, be completely wrong and off the scale. Just telling you what we’ve heard.
