Election turnout hearsay

The election – it’s all about the numbers.

Be clear, what’s below is all rumour and hearsay – but we’ve been told a few interesting things about attendance figures for yesterday’s elections.

Election turnout hearsayThe most positive is from one candidate who thinks that the turnout for their seat might be as high as 70%.

The other is at the frightening end of the scale. One ward in Newport may have had a turnout as low as 4%.

All of these may, of course, be completely wrong and off the scale. Just telling you what we’ve heard.

Caveat: All election hearsay is unconfirmed and may be incorrect, but then again it might be right. It’s just what we’re hearing.

You can be sure that any results we report will only come from official sources.
