15 years on from the first flight on 1st July 2007, air ambulance crews attend around four emergency missions every day and are able to provide advanced life-saving care usually found in a hospital emergency department
The highest number of life-saving callouts last year was for cardiac arrests, twice that than for road traffic incidents. All made possible thanks to supporters of the Air Ambulance
If you're having clear out, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance will come and collect your unwanted clothes and textiles (not by helicopter though)
Supporters of the Air Ambulance can take part in the Virtual Quiz to help celebrate 13 years of delivering life-saving treatment to the most critically ill and severely injured patients
Use of the RAF Chinook helicopters - each able to carry up to two ventilated patients - will play an important role in helping to bring increased support to patients on the Isle of Wight
Midnight on Wednesday 18th September is the last chance for supporters to sign up online for the first ever Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) night-time 5km fun run; Dash in the Dark.
