Emerging talent from Island VI Form showcase artistic brilliance in final projects

Island VI Form students from the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, have been busy preparing work for their final project.

The college is excited to be able to showcase their fantastic work in local gallery space and will be holding an end of year exhibition at Independent Arts in the centre of Newport.

Exciting and thought provoking
The exhibition promises to be both exciting and thought provoking. This year, students have approached subjects such as Childhood sensitivity, Tragedy, Sea therapy, Soulless existence, Giants and other intriguing concepts.

The students have created interesting and artistic responses to their research, working across the disciplines of mixed media, print, painting, photography, video, digital art, textiles and illustration.

Course Leaders and tutors for the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, agree,

“We have been so impressed by the commitment and professionalism shown by the students this year.

“It is clear to see the dedication and effort that they have put into their final projects and we can’t wait for everyone to see the standard of their work.”

Where and when
The Private View will be on Tuesday 27th June from 7am-9pm, and the exhibition then runs until Saturday 1st July.

Independent Arts is open daily from 10am – 4.30pm.
