Travel for just £1 during the first two weeks of April!
Hovertravel, the fastest Isle of Wight passenger service across the Solent, is extending its service by two hours in the evenings from April 2011 and offering travel for just £1 for the first two weeks of the late services.
Listening to customers
Neil Chapman, Hovertravel managing director said: “Many of our regular customers have informed us that a later service would be more useful for them. Whether it be for commuters who finish work late or want to head out for a drink before going home, anybody visiting Gunwharf Quays or having a late dinner, our later service will be more convenient for our passengers and enhancing our customer service is a vital part of our service.”
Extended hours
Hovertravel’s extended operating hours will mean on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays the last service from Ryde to Portsmouth will leave at 21h45 and for Portsmouth to Ryde, the last service will leave Southsea at 22h00.
On Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays the last service from Ryde to Portsmouth will leave at 20h45 and from Portsmouth to Ryde, the last service will leave Southsea at 21h00.
Neil adds: “To celebrate our new later service we are also launching a £1 sale for advanced bookings. From 4th March until 18 March 2011 customers can book single tickets for travel on 1st – 15th April 2011 for £1.*
