Environmental activists visit Isle of Wight on way ten-day cycle to G7 summit

Environmental activists in St Thomas’ Square welcomed 14 cyclists from Bloomin’ Greenwash, travelling circus, enroute from Shoreham to a G7 summit at Carbis Bay in Cornwall last Thursday.

The G7 (or Group of Seven) is an intergovernmental organisation made up of the world’s seven largest advanced economies: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. The group has met regularly since 1976 to discuss key issues related to global economic stability.

Cycling over ten days
The cyclists are taking ten days to cycle over 200 miles to the G7 summit, being held from the 11th to 13th June.
