Explore scholarships and bursaries at Ryde School’s Sixth Form Information Evening

Are you thinking of Ryde School for Sixth Form study?

With three Sixth Form routes to choose from: A Levels, International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and the IB Career-related Programme, Ryde offers opportunities that suit a wide range of student needs.

You don’t need to have studied at Ryde School in order to apply and it’s worth noting that the School offers both scholarships and bursaries (see more below).

All welcome to the Information Evening
On Monday 14th October 2024, Ryde School’s Sixth Form will be holding an Information Evening between 6pm and 8.30pm.

There’ll be a talk and discussion with the Head of Sixth Form, Matt Windsor, as well as a presentation on course choices from the Head Master, Will Turner.

There will also be a chance to talk to Senior Staff and Prefects, as well as faculty heads.

Never been a better time to study at Ryde
Ryde School offers an extensive extracurricular, enrichment and careers programme, including Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and a wide range of sports, drama and music opportunities – and with the New Performing Arts Centre and a modernised Sixth Form Centre, there has never been a better time to study at Ryde.

Ryde School students excelled in their 2024 A Level and IB exams, with 63% achieving A*-B grades and average IB results surpassing last year’s scores.

The IB Diploma Programme grades issued earlier in the summer also outperformed last year’s grades with an average score of 33 points, also above the global average. The IB Career-related Programme grades were particularly impressive with 65% pupils achieving a distinction or better in the BTEC part of their programme.

Preparing for University or the world of work
Ryde School’s 2024 leavers have moved on to a variety of University destinations, with many leavers heading to Russell Group Universities. Others have opted for Medical Colleges, Art Colleges and even the Armed Forces or Uniformed Services.

The wide breadth of University courses chosen is testament to the way the school helps pupils achieve their individual talents and ambitions.
