Adam Pearson, Director of Fan TC Con, has announced that this year’s event promises to surpass all previous editions in terms of fun and entertainment.
Since 2019, APV Services has been organising this community event, each year striving to outdo the last.
Celebrity Guests and Exciting Features
This year (2024), attendees can look forward to meeting celebrity guests such as Sylvester McCoy, the 7th Doctor from “Doctor Who,” and Jeff Rawle, known for his role as Amos Diggory in the “Harry Potter” series. Celebrities will be charging for autographs and selfies.
The entry fee also includes access to a fabulous replica Delorean Time Machine from “Back to the Future,” meticulously built by Sandstone Productions.
Local Talent and Special Announcements
Visitors will have the chance to meet local talents like Quivers, Adam Adamart, and Caulkhead Comics, creators of “Hardcore Hare.” Caulkhead Comics has a special announcement planned for the day.
Additionally, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, as seen on Channel 5’s “Isle of Wight: Jewel of the South,” will be on display.
Gaming and Competitions
Fan TC Con will feature VR gaming, retro gaming sponsored by Island Retro, board gaming, and the opportunity to play Dungeons and Dragons.
Cosplay enthusiasts can participate in competitions with trophies provided by Fidel’s Dream and sponsored by Heroes, with the event hosted by Robin Flux from Master of Disguise.
Star Wars and Doctor Who Zones
Star Wars fans can enjoy characters and props brought by the Joker Squad.
There will also be a Doctor Who Zone featuring the TARDIS, Daleks, and K-9, along with 2D versions of every Doctor Who, courtesy of The 20MB Doctor Who Podcast, one of the world’s longest-running podcasts.
Fun for the Family
The Brick Zone, sponsored by Red Funnel Isle of Wight Ferries, will offer thousands of Lego bricks for creative play.
A voluntary donation to Mountbatten will cover parking.

Fan TC Con 2024 is set to be a fun day out for all the family, taking place on Saturday, 19th October 2024, at 1Leisure, Medina, Fairlee Road, Newport, Isle of Wight, from 10am to 5pm.
