A number of council floating bridge staff have contracted Covid over the past few days.
The council will continue to maintain the scheduled hours of operation, but with the exception that, tomorrow (Wednesday 29th June), the service will be suspended from 0800 to 2000 hours.
Maintenance opportunity
The council is taking advantage of the unforeseen suspension to undertake preventative maintenance which was originally scheduled for the evenings of 4th, 5th and 6th July and will seek to complete these works in their entirety tomorrow instead.
A launch service will be in operation for foot passengers and cyclists. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
