The footpath leading from Monks Bay up to Bonchurch has been closed due to flooding.
Although there is no signage at the bottom of the steps on the Monks Bay esplanade, once you reach the half way point (an idyllic resting point), you’ll be met with Heras fencing and no way to get through.
The path was closed on Thursday due to flooding from the stream.
If you have walked along the revetment and want to get into Bonchurch you can either walk up Shore Road, or go bit further along the beach and up the footpath to the bottom of East Dene and turn left to head into Bonchurch.
