As VB readers will already be aware, at the end of last month, the Government kicked off a public consultation on proposals for a new approach to ownership and management of the Public Forest Estate in England.
If you want to find out more about the consultation from a human being rather than reading through masses of documentation, a Public Information Session is planned on the Island next month by Forestry Commission.
You’ll be able to speak to members of Forestry Commission staff about the proposals and pick up information leaflets.
It takes place at Firestone Copse car park on Tuesday 15 March 2011 between 10am and 4pm.
