Ian Hayden takes on the Giro-d’Fowlmead Crit

Thanks to Jack for this latest report from the Wightlink-LCM Systems Cycle Race Team. Ed

Racing for one hour plus one lap in gale force conditions at times made for some very interesting bike handling.

Ian Hayden Keeping sheltered within the main bunch for the major part of the race, Hayden started to move up and with two laps to go was sitting well up and getting ready to contest the final sprint.

Unfortunately, a clearly inexperienced and quite dangerous rider to Hayden’s left failed to hold his line, pushing the Wightlink-LCM rider wide.

This cost him precious places, hindering his sprint but still seeing him finish safely in the top twenty.
