Ventnor’s Green Room will host a free bike marking event on Thursday 24th September 2026.
The event runs from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, and people can pop in at any point during those hours.

The Green Room sits in Salisbury Gardens on Dudley Road, postcode PO38 1EJ.
Anyone with a bike can go along, and the flyer says the event costs nothing for people in the community.
The event is organised by Ventnor Youth Group in collaboration with Ventnor Town Council, BikeRegister and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.
How the marking works
Cyclists bring their bike to the event.
The event gives each bike a unique BikeRegister ID and a warning label.
Owners then register their bike details on the BikeRegister national database.
If thieves steal the bike, the owner can report the theft on the same system.

When police recover a bike, they can identify it and return it to its owner.
