The Isle of Wight is being urged to Go Yellow in support of Mountbatten next month.
There are many ways to take part in this year’s fundraiser on Friday 7th October, including hosting a Big Yellow Tea Party with colleagues, friends or family.
Other yellow-themed initiatives could include holding a cake sale, wearing yellow fancy-dress and eating yellow food.
Hornblow: It’s a good reason to have some fun
Charlotte Hornblow, Mountbatten community fundraiser, said,
“Go Yellow is back and we really hope our Island community get behind us.
“It’s a good reason to have some fun and it can be something you do at home, at work or in the community with your friends, family or colleagues.
“Our Big Yellow Tea Party is returning and everything you need, including cake flags and recipes, bunting and posters, is available to download from our Website.”
Events throughout the month
Although Go Yellow will take place on 7th October, events can be held on other dates during the month.
It will all kick off with a special game show-themed quiz night at Caffe Isola, Newport, hosted by Quivers, on Thursday 6th October.
Sponsors
Mountbatten has teamed up with Go Yellow sponsors, Wight Label Tea and Isle of Wight Radio for the launch event.
Money raised for Go Yellow will help Mountbatten support the growing number of people on the Isle of Wight experiencing death, dying and bereavement.
