Congratulations go to two Island schools today who we read in the County Press have made it into the latest edition of the Good Schools Guide.
If you haven’t previously heard of the Good Schools Guide, it does what it says in the title.
It’s a prestigious guide to what are considered the best schools across the UK, so for the two Island schools to be named is quite an accolade for not only themselves, but also the Island.
Which schools were awarded?
The first is one close to our hearts, St Catherine’s School in Ventnor. St Catherine’s is well known around the world for its work with young people who have language, speech and communication impairments.
The Good Schools Guide has tipped them as being the “best in the country for boys taking an entry level design and technology qualification.”
The second school is Priory School (pictured) in Shanklin.
This independent co-ed school was awarded special mention for its best point score at an English School for boys taking Biology GCSE by the Good Schools Guide.
Congratulations to both schools and all concerned.
