Plans to introduce new restrictions on two Ventnor roads have been approved today by delegated decision.
Cllr Phil Jordan, as Cabinet member for Infrastructure, Highways PFI and Transport had been given permission by the leader to make the decision.
The changes include the introduction of a two-hour loading-only restriction, followed by a limited one-hour waiting period between 10am and 6pm during the summer season on Albert Street.
Changes requested
The Albert Street restriction was requested by the Medical Centre as their delivery vehicles need to park close by and there are no other loading bays in the vicinity.
In addition, at the request of the owner of Fernleigh Apartments, approval has been given for double yellow lines on Park Avenue, over the entrance to the property, to avoid it being obstructed.
The decision to approve the proposals was made today (Tuesday).
