Flowersbrook duck race

Have you had your say on the Flowersbrook application?

According to the Isle of Wight council’s Website, today (Friday 10th April) sees the deadline for comments for the onshore planning application for Perpetuus Tidal Energy Centre at Flowersbrook, Ventnor.

The comment deadline was previously extended after new information was added to the 100+ online documents that residents need to wade through in order to be fully informed about the application.

‘Hands Off Our Coastal Heritage’
Concerns about the plans were raised during the Easter Duck Race held at Flowers Brook on Saturday, when the protest group ‘Hands Off Our Coastal Heritage’ (HOOCH) raised awareness of the proposed development.

The council planning Website reports that over 300 people have already left comments about the application.

Have your say and see full details of the application on the council’s planning Website.

What is it about people these days. They can’t just have a wedding and be done,no,fireworks now.Let’s hope Greene Kings insurance will cover this lovely landmark building.Don’t get me started on Chinese lanterns, which have been responsible for lots of fires.Too many people take things too far these days, without thought for anyone elses safety or pleasure.
