Have You Seen A Small Red Car With Front End Damage? (Update)

Friends and family of an Island man are this morning been sending out a plea to fellow Islanders asking them if they’ve seen a small red car with front-end damage.

Update: 21:40: Just spoken to the Police – the person who was hit has been transferred to Southampton General.

There are specialist traffic officer over on the Island at the moment investigating the circumstances.

We asked about the red car being found burnt out (as has been rumoured) – no official comment from them at the moment.

More when we hear about it.

Have You Seen A Small Red Car With Front End DamageThey say the car was involved in a hit-and-run incident overnight in Trafalgar Road, Newport.

It sounds like it was a serious collision as they say the man, in his forties, is “fighting for his life” at St Mary’s hospital.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
