Health Workers Raise £600 For Walk The Wight

Congratulations to the team from Grove House Surgery in Ventnor for achieving their Walk The Wight challenge. Mike tells us more. Ed

Walkers from the surgeryFollowing the 2011 Walk the Wight, we have now totalled up all our sponsorship monies and the team from Grove House Surgery have raised £600 for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.

We would like to thank all family and friends who have supported us and the patients of Grove House Surgery who donated £114 at the surgery.

Fourteen miles later ….

The team also included Dr Doggett and Healthcare Assistant Kerry.

Although we started at different times all the team members completed the 14 mile section from Carisbrooke to Alum Bay with varying degrees of blisters, pain and fatigue!

In a moment of euphoria, someone suggested we should tackle the whole course next year from Bembridge! Maybe?
