Dense fog affects cross-Solent travel (update 7)

The Isle of Wight and Solent have been shrouded in fog for the last few hours and as it continues to be this morning, cross-Solent transport is affected.

14.54pm: Hovertravel will be running operating a 1 craft shuttle service from 16:15 with arrivals and departures occurRing as frequently as possible but not to standard timetable.

11.39am: Hovertravel service is still suspended due to adverse weather conditions

11.22am: Wightlink: Woohoo! Following the horrible fog, all our services are now back on time. Thanks for your patience.

10:45 Our RedJet service is now back to timetable – sorry for the earlier delays.

8.35am: RedJet 3 is now running approx 15 minutes behind schedule due to dense fog in the Solent.

8.32am: Wightlink Portsmouth-Fishbourne now 60 minutes late and Portsmouth-Ryde 30 minutes late.

8.22am: Wightlink Lymington-Yarmouth route is now running to schedule. Thanks for your patience and sorry for the disruption caused to your travel this morning.

7.54am: Wightlink Portsmouth-Fishbourne now 60 minutes late.
Lymington-Yarmouth 30 minutes late and Portsmouth-Ryde 20 minutes late.

7.36am: RedJet 4 is currently operating to timetable therefore departures from Southampton at XX:15 and West Cowes XX:45 are currently unaffected.

RedJet 3 is currently departing from Southampton at XX:45 and West Cowes XX:15 therefore these sailings will encounter delays.

7.35am: Wightlink Portsmouth-Fishbourne now 40 minutes late. Lymington-Yarmouth 20 minutes late and Portsmouth-Ryde 20 minutes late.

6.09am: Hovertravel Service is currently suspended due to adverse weather conditions

Some parts of the Island are still experiencing dense fog, so if you’re out on the roads, take care and remember to use your headlights.
