Hentai Babies: Worldwide attention continues

Readers might remember our recent report about Isle of Wight band Hentai Babies receiving worldwide attention.

The buzz about the band hasn’t gone away, far from it, as radio play of their latest tracks continue.

Worldwide airplay
This week over in Tokyo on the What The Friday? show at Inter FM Tokyo, DJs played both ‘Nice Little Story’ and ‘Super Sad’.

The legendary Rodney Bingenheimer played ‘Super Sad’ during his ‘Rodney on the ROQ’ show on LA station KROQ.

Whilst over the other side of town, Bruce Ravid at Indie103.1 in LA played ‘One Potato Two’ a whopping three times this week.

Local attention
To round it all off for the band, this Saturday night (20th July) their latest track ‘Nice Little Story’ will be played on BBC Introducing: The South, 8-9pm on Radio Solent as well as a host of other stations in the South.

Upcoming gigs
Update: this gig has been cancelled: You can find out what all the noise is about tomorrow afternoon in Ryde, as Hentai Babies with support from Vita Severn and YHWH. Head to King Lud on Ryde seafront from 2pm.

On 6th August, they’ll be playing at The Joiners in Southampton and on 17th August they’ll be playing in Ventnor as part of the Ventnor Fringe Festival.
