With registration opening last month for the JP Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race, we hear that Steve Le Butt’s ‘High Spirits’ was the first boat entered for the 2010.
The name might not mean much to landlubbers, but those immersed in the world of sailing will know that Steve Le Butt is a big name on the water.
Organisers of the annual event tell us that registration is going well with the first entry received from an eager Steve Le Butt for his Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 High Spirits.
Steve has been racing at the event for the last eight years Last year he was awarded the inaugural ‘Nautica Outstanding Seamanship Award’ after his crew nominated him for his skill and judgement in assisting in a man overboard incident during the day.
You can register online to enter the race which takes place in June this year.
