The Isle of Wight was hit by a combination of heavy rain and high tides last night (Sunday).
The Environment Agency had issued a Flood Warning for the Island’s coastline, with low-lying land being affected first.
Sand bags were deployed to various locations and the Cowes floating bridge was suspended around 10.30pm, after high tides made it impossible for travellers to get off the bridge without getting very wet.
Many thanks to Allan Marsh for sharing this image from the East Cowes side of the bridge.
