The number of outlets where you can buy your copy of the Wight Trash Transitions Volume 2 Triple CD has grown this week to six, with HMV in Newport joining the merry list of distributors.
This bumper triple CD pulled together by John Cattle of Wight Trash and remastered by Rob and Jim Holmes of Jackson Analogue is an absolute steal at just £10, especially as all proceeds will be going to the renovation of the Ventnor Skate Park.
The list of artists on the CD is enormous and all tracks hugely varied. It gives a real slice of the diversity of Isle of Wight music from indie to hip hop, to folk to punk to drum n’ bass to goth metal.
So please, please, please go and buy your copy of the CD, it’s only a tenner has 52 tracks from Island bands on it and is well worth the cash. Every penny goes to the works at the skate park. See below for other stockists.
Details of the next Transitions Gig coming up soon on VB, but pencil Sat 18th April into your diaries now.
Continued Works to The Ventnor Skate Park
The next phase of works are due to start in a couple of weeks time with the retaining wall going in to stop debris from the cliff face falling on to the ramps, a new grind rail along the south section of the park.
Lights are planned with a wind turbine and solar panels supplying the power and hopefully some sort of see-thru shield attached to the outer fence to protect skaters from the sea wind.
Some of this work is being funded through grants, but sales of the CDs will help immensely in completing the park before the summer season is in full swing.
