Hovertravel Launches Hover Shopper Deal To Gunwharf QuaysHovertravel, the fastest Isle of Wight foot passenger service across the Solent, is putting on two special charters as part of their new Hover Shopper deal where customers can buy return tickets from Ryde, straight to Gunwharf Quays for a day of shopping.

Neil Chapman managing director of Hovertravel says: “The hovershopper deal is the first ever commercial hovercraft service into Gunwharf Quays and will take place on Sunday 12 December and Sunday 19 December 2010. In the lead up to Christmas we wanted to offer our island passengers the most convenient service to Gunwharf Quays as it is a popular place for Christmas shopping.

Discount vouchers and Father Christmas onboard
Neil went on to say, “To help customers get in to the Christmas spirit we even have Father Christmas on board the craft, exclusive discount booklets for selected stores and the Spinnaker Tower and free ice skating at Gunwharf Quays Festive Winterland.”

This fantastic deal costs £10 each or £30 for a family of up to two adults and three children. Tickets are available to buy at the Hovertravel Ryde terminal.

Hovertravel increases service due to popular demand
From 4th January, Hovertravel will be increasing their number of services. The 08h30 crossing from Ryde will be added to timetable due to demand from customers.

Neil Chapman managing director of Hovertravel says: “It is important that we offer islanders a frequent service to Southsea, especially during peak hours when people are commuting to work.”

The 08h30 crossing adds to the frequency of the service, with current morning services departing from Ryde at (Mon – Fri) – 0615, 0645, 0715, 0730, 0745,0800, 0815 and 0845.
