With news of a national shortage of blood, may living on the Isle of Wight will be keen to give blood to support the NHS.
The Amber Warning for blood supplies comes as blood stock levels are due to fall below two days, when the NHS usually maintains six days’ worth of stocks.
There is only one venue on the Isle of Wight where you can give blood, Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints in Newport.
How to book an appointment
To book, firstly go to the the MyBlood Website, put Isle of Wight into the large search box half-way down the page, you will then be met with a page showing many mainland venues.
You’ll need to scroll down (almost to the bottom) to select the venue – Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, 44 Shide Road, Newport PO30 1YE.
If you are already registered online to give blood, you then need to login, otherwise you need to click on the button to register to give blood and take it from there.
