OnTheWight has heard from several sources that the numbers of parents who have applied for their children to join the school in September 2014 is over three times the number of pupils the school can accommodate.
The range we’ve heard is between 800 and 850, for what the council confirm are 240 places.
In the two years that Christ the King College has been formed and producing GCSE results, its results have been way in excess of other Island schools.
OnTheWight approached Christ the King who said, “Unfortunately this is not something we are able to comment on until 1st March.”
