If you use this major road, expect delays with temporary traffic lights

Temporary traffic lights are due to be installed on the Newport to Sandown road at Branstone between 4th-15th September due to a requirement by Openreach to relocate one of their chambers next to the new Branstone development.

The conditions of the works include:

  1. Advance warning signs of works taking place required at least seven days prior to commencement of works.
  2. Manual control of traffic signals required at peak times (6.30-9.30 and 3.30-6.30).
  3. Traffic lights are permitted 24/7 for entire period of works but will be removed when no longer required.

Isle of Wight council, which has agreed to the works because of their essential nature in relation to the Branstone development apologises for any inconvenience.
