In honour of a loved one: A skydive to support Air Ambulance Services

In a show of profound gratitude and remembrance, Ellie West, along with her brother Andy Gibbins and friend Nicki Ford, is set to undertake a daring sponsored skydive on 8th August.

The jump, a venture into the realms of courage and daring, is not just a thrill-seeking pursuit, but serves a much deeper purpose.

Skydiving for a cause
The trio is performing the skydive in honour of Ellie’s late father-in-law, Mike West, who sadly passed away in January 2023.

The underlying motive behind this thrilling leap is to raise money for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, a cause close to their hearts.

Vital journey
It was this very service that provided critical transport for Ellie’s father-in-law, transporting him from St Mary’s Hospital in Newport to Southampton General.

This intervention ensured that he received the best possible medical care in a timely manner when he needed it most.

A family’s gratitude
This act of bravery by Ellie and her companions is an expression of deep gratitude to the Air Ambulance service.

Their mission is to generate the much-needed funds that enable this vital service to continue its operation across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
