Following last week’s tragic incident when a car went over the cliff at Culver, the Inquest for the case was opened today by Isle of Wight coroner, Caroline Sumeray.
Readers will remember that after it had been reported a car had gone over the cliff in the early hours of Friday morning, 20 year old Newport man, Robert Hayball, was reported missing.
Sadly his body was discovered on Friday afternoon. The coroner confirmed that he had died of multiple injuries and trauma.
Police are continuing their investigations into the case and the inquest was adjourned.
