Postponed: Interested in The Arts? Come and explore ‘Why The Arts make us happy’ (updated)

Important Update: Unfortunately we have had to postpone this event until later in the year.

Anyone who has bought a ticket can either keep hold of it for later in the year, or seek a refund from Ventnor Exchange. Our apologies to all who were looking forward to the discussion.

This Thursday afternoon, OnTheWight in collaboration with our friends from The Book Bus, will be holding an event at Ventnor Fringe Festival.

Being held at Ventnor Arts Club, places limited, so book today to avoid disappointment.

Join four experienced panelists from the world of The Arts: globally-successful jeweller, comedy, performing arts and music, as we explore:

What is it about The Arts that makes us happy?

The Panel

  • Rosie Wolfenden – Co-founder of Tatty Devine. They produce happiness every single day with their jewellery/creations distributed around the world. As she says: “One of the most important things in life is happiness and if you are not happy what’s the point?” Rose is also running two jewellery making workshops the next day (see details).
  • Garrett Millerick – Delivering happiness is at the core of Garrett’s craft – fortunate really given he’s a well-regarded comedian. He’ll also be bringing his extensive experience of theatre too. Garrett is also performing later that day at the same venue (see details)
  • Sharon George – The powerhouse behind Shademakers and the forthcoming Department in Ryde. The happiness they create is obvious in every smiling face at the carnivals they help create across the world.
  • Ric Stanbridge – Not only does the music that Ric writes and performs bring happiness, but through his producing and running a recording studio he elicits happiness from the band to give their best performance, who pass it onto their fans.
  • Hosted by Simon from OnTheWight
