Arthur Venables rounded up the end of his cycling season last Sunday, with the collection of medals at the Sussex CA Award Presentation for winning the ten and 25 mile junior Sussex CA 2014 time trial.
While also being confirmed champion of the Junior Sussex CA Best All-Rounder of 2014.
His first year of racing on the mainland also saw him improving his ten mile time trial time to a 00:23:18, and his 25 mile personal best time had him ducking under the one hour mark with a time of 00:59:38.
Matt Harris also improved upon both his ten and 25 mile times this year, with him reaching a snappy personal best time of 00:20:53 for a ten mile time trial and a 00:52:51 for a 25 mile time trial.
Harris also contributed and collected several team awards, also seeing him pick up a win at his first time trial of the 2014 season. He also finished second in his age group and fourth overall at the TLI national time trial back in August.
This concluded a very good season for Island based pair, Venables and Harris. Both of which are part of team …a3crg, where they have high hopes for the 2015 season.
