An objection has been lodged against plans for an ale house in an Isle of Wight town, but discussions have been taking place about how to ease local concern.
One close neighbour fears the proposed Island Life Craft Ale House, which could open on Clarence Road in East Cowes, would cause an increase in noise nuisance.

It comes as a licence to sell alcohol from the pub, from midday up to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, with a 30 minute drinking up period, is sought by Island Life Craft Brewery.
The brewery currently operates from the back room of a house further down the road, but is looking to expand into what used to be the Old Curiosity Shop.
Support for the plans
East Cowes Town Council has supported the licensing application, but said it too would like to see measures to ensure it is not too noisy.
Representing the brewery, Glenn Johnson wrote to those concerned to tell them their comments have been carefully considered.
His letter said he was confident measures could be implemented to mitigate any noise problems.
Conditions on the licence
In discussion with the Isle of Wight council, Mr Johnson has agreed to conditions which could form part of the licence, if approved on Wednesday 9th August.
The mitigating conditions include the installation of sound insulation, not allowing drinks outside and prominent signs at the exit, to encourage customers to be quiet when leaving.
Five conditions agreed with Police
Five conditions were also agreed with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, which include a requirement for staff training, CCTV and a ‘Challenge 25’ policy.
