Extra checks
Our district responders and cleansing teams have been carrying out additional inspections of vulnerable spots (such as trash screens), ditch clearance and gulley cleansing.
In addition we have also been undertaking a programme of extra checks across the Island to ensure resources of equipment such as floodboards are available. Additional resources are on standby across Island Roads’ operations should they be required.
We hope these steps will help to mitigate the effects of the forthcoming weather.
