Hopes were raised with the mass-council turn out on Sunday at Undercliff Drive, but the extended meeting at the council today hasn't brought good news. OnTheWight has the details.
What the residents of Undercliff Drive need now is action. They've waited long enough to get things moving and are hoping the visit today by councillors and officers will see a fast and immediate practical response.

A family member of those trapped on the Undercliff without any vehicle access to their homes has set up a page on the social networking site, hoping it will draw attention to their plight.

Concerns are that when it starts to rain, will currently exposed porous land/surfaces be left open to drink up the rain and then trigger further landslips - exposing the council to further costs?
Undercliff residents says Island Roads may be required to answer questions about the situation, but it is the Council who must facilitate the process and to simply pass the buck is unacceptable.
Residents waited with baited breath at last night's Executive meeting to hear whether Members would approve funding that would allow them to get back into their homes.
