Although it’s a couple of weeks away from starting, we thought we’d like you know about this exhibition taking place in Ryde.
Throughout the entire month of August, the George St Centre in Ryde will be displaying a range of artwork by adults with learning disabilities from around the Island.
Art for All
The exhibition, which is the brainchild of Josie Pritchard, opens on 1st August with work being displayed until 29th August (10am until 2pm daily between Monday to Friday).
Breaking down social barriers
Josie told OnTheWight,
“My aim is to help break down social barriers in the community and help promote confidence and self belief for adults with learning disabilities.
“This will be done by having a place to display their work in public and have somewhere to take their family and friends to show their creative self expression through art and photography.”
Anyone with a disability is invited to have their work displayed. Get in touch with Josie by emailing her on [email protected]
