Don’t forget that there are still loads of Isle of Wight Biosphere Festival events you can find yourself at this week.
The 2025 Festival launched on Saturday 28th June and runs until Sunday 6th July. There is a wide choice of events on offer such as walks, talks, fashion shows, art exhibitions, music performances, storytelling sessions, films, nature tours, gardening workshops and much more. If you can’t make any of the events during the week, there are lots taking place next weekend too.
Most events carry either free admission or low-cost tickets, with many designed specifically for families.
Prestigious recognition
The Isle of Wight holds UNESCO Biosphere Reserve status, one of only seven such designations in the UK.
This prestigious recognition, comparable to World Heritage status, acknowledges the Island’s unique combination of people, wildlife and landscape.
The designation celebrates local efforts, both individual and organisational, to live sustainably within the Island’s remarkable environment whilst protecting, conserving and enhancing it for future generations.
