VB readers will remember that the Friends of Isle of Wight Libraries recently put out an appeal for donations.
Dave Quigley has been in touch asking us to send out a thank you to the many who have already contributed to the fund, which has a grand total of £245 so far, with promises of more on its way!

Campaigners will be meeting with officials from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport on Thursday 9th June.
They would like to take along with them as many emails as possible from those opposed to the library cuts. Your emails don’t need to be long, just a note expressing your wish to see the libraries stay open and that you’re supporting the effort of the campaigners.
