The Isle Of Wight Festival has gained international recognition at this year’s International Live Music Conference (ILMC), held in London last weekend.
Now in its 20th year, this somewhat off the wall conference has grown from strength to strength, mirroring the growth in importance of live music in today’s entertainment industry.
Whilst the ILMC is known for its irreverent ‘off the wall’ style, featuring events as diverse as poker tournaments and international football matches between the delegates, it is nonetheless well respected and attended by many of the most important figures in the world of live music.
The Isle Of Wight Festival has been given a somewhat tongue in cheek ‘Arthur Award’ in the Liggers’ Favourite Festival, alongside strong international competition and other top UK festivals such as V and Glastonbury.
Put simply our beloved festival ranks among the best in the world as a jolly up for music industry bigwigs. Voted the best, by the best. High praise indeed!
