There is less than a month to go until this year’s Isle of Wight Literary Festival…and tickets are going fast.
Big names such as Gyles Brandreth, Clare Balding, Celia Imrie and Susie Dent are proving so popular with audiences that they have been moved to a bigger venue at the Cowes-based event.

The good news is that despite this unprecedented demand there are still tickets to be had for these and other authors.
The Isle of Wight Literary Festival is based at Northwood House and runs from 3rd-6th October 2024.
On the lineup
Former Cabinet minister Lord Norman Fowler, historian Tracy Borman, rock music author David Hepworth and a wine tasting with TV wine expert Helen McGinn are other highlights of the weekend.
LitFeast
There will be five fantastic cooking demonstration on Saturday when LitFeast returns for the second year.
Demonstrations range from the familiar such as cooking for Christmas to the exotic – a taste of Yemen.
Local authors
New this year is Write on Wight, which features events for local authors and includes a marketplace for local authors’ wares.
The schools programme is back bigger and better with more Island schools than ever taking part.
Jazz opening event
On Wednesday 2nd October the festival opens with the well-known jazz group, the John Davidson Quintet and Jane Hurst as vocalist play at Northwood House.
