Isle of Wight planning applications won’t be available this weekend

If you’re planning to look at the Isle of Wight’s council planning system this weekend, you’d better change plans.

Yesterday the council put a note on their Website saying that public access to the following will be unavailable between Friday 6th August to Sunday 8th August 2021:

  • Planning online comments;
  • Planning online viewing of applications and documents;
  • Planning online viewing of Tree Protection order (TPO) details and documents.

At the time of publishing the council’s online planning system is currently available.

Licensing too
As well as all of the planning information, licensing will also be unavailable, with the public unable to view/add comments to :

  • Licensing online Comments;
  • Licensing online viewing of applications and documents.

The outline of the reason given by IWC is ‘an essential upgrade’. No further details were given.

IWC: Back on Monday
Better get it done quickly today (Friday), or you’ll have to wait until Monday when IWC say the system will be up and running.
