IW NHS Trust remain silent over Inadequate CQC rating at Solent Grange

Six days ago following news that Solent Grange care home had been rated Inadequate by the CQC, OnTheWight got in touch with the IW NHS Trust.

The reason for our contact was learn and the NHS Trust’s view on the Inadequate rating given to Solent Grange.

The IW NHS Trust had last month announced they’d providing 13 ‘in the community’ beds at Solent Grange in order to ease pressure at St Mary’s Hospital.

Despite chasing several times for a response, the NHS Trust have remained very quiet.

Yes; the empty building is owned by the NHS, who have been made aware of the need to secure properly, as have the council, town council, and MP.

Sally, you are quite right to raise this question because they used this place to try and get over a crisis, which I maintain was caused by cuts. They are prepared to dump various on-site buildings, which they should not do. The management, exec. were quick to say that NHS staff were used and not care staff.
