In an interview on the BBC, Isle of Wight Festival promoter John Giddings has offered a refund to ticket holders that have been unable to make it to the Festival because of the traffic problems.
When it was raised that some people had commented on Twitter they’d given up trying to get to the Festival and gone home, John Giddings said, “I’m really sorry to hear about that.”
Refund possible
Prompted about the possibility of refunds he said, “If you’ve got your ticket, I have to refund you if you send it back to me … I mean, that’s outrageous.”
He continued, “If someone has suffered that, I don’t believe I should keep their money. What do you think?”
If you want to have a listen to it all, it’s near the end, about 2:05 into the recording.
