Johnny Flynn was a popular choice for topping the bill at last night’s gig as part of the Ventnor Fringe Festival.
The capacity audience (we got the last two tickets!) had already enjoyed Paul Armfield playing with JC and Michael Champion playing an acoustic set.
As Johnny’s folk set started many of the audience shifted from their seats to go and sit around the front of get closer to the action. Something the singer referred to as being in ‘an embrace.’
Just after his performance finished we grabbed a couple of minutes with him to find out what he thought of the gig, more generally the Ventnor Fringe Festival and why he likes the Isle of Wight.
Have a listen …

See Johnny on Vincent’s video
If you’ve missed his stuff, Vincent Moon (who’s also in Ventnor at the moment!) has shot a few videos with Johnny Flynn (as he mentioned in the recording).
