Letter: Never a more important time for Britain to be led by a Prime Minister who is honest and trustworthy

There are those who say Boris Johnson must resign because he has broken the law and been fined for engaging in Downing Street parties throughout the pandemic during lockdown, but for me this isn’t the main issue.

Boris Johnson repeatedly lied to Parliament and the British public from the dispatch box, saying there were no parties and the law wasn’t being broken.

There has never been a more important time for Britain to be led by a Prime Minister who is honest and trustworthy.

Unfortunately, Boris Johnson is not that man.

It is for this reason his position is simply no longer tenable as leader of our Parliament and Country.
