We’re always happy to run a letter to the editor, this one in from an anonymous reader in Bonchurch. Ed
Having lost the post office and shop to somebody who wanting to convert a long standing village asset into a private residence, crossing our legs after the council sold (without public tender) our public convenience, we have now been told that the PCC is selling off the Village Hall.
Particularly upsetting given the voluntary work that has been done by members of the community to raise money which seems to have been diverted to causes other than the maintenance of the building.
This leaves the Bonchurch Community with no centre except two churches and one pub.
Teetotal, incontinent, atheists living in the village should possibly be considering a move.
