This from Laurie Tennant, Cowes. Ed
Ms Donna Jones [Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight] has invited her public to take part in yet another “consultation”.
I took a look. Questions are along the lines of:
“Would you prefer to pay
- a lot
- an awful lot, or
- helluva lot
for your Police Services?”
The consultation does not ask the useful questions (useful to us, the public, that is) such as:
“Where do you think best savings could be made?” (answer: by abolishing the office of the PCC)
This consultation, like all its predecessors, is a complete waste of taxpayers’ money.
Mr Richard Quigley [Labour MP for Isle of Wight West], please note
