It’s an important gathering because Health and Wellbeing includes all health services; adult social care; children’s services; and wider services such as community safety; education; employment: leisure and housing.

Background on IW Health & Wellbeing Board
By way of background, the Board define their strategy as focused on five main areas:
- Ensuring children and young people have the best possible start in life.
- Helping and supporting people prepare for old age and to manage long-term physical and mental health conditions and disabilities.
- Enabling people to make health choices for healthy lifestyles.
- Building and sustaining economic growth for the Island and supporting improved employment opportunities.
- Making the Island a better place to live and to visit.
