Ventnor:

Share your views on plans for Ventnor heritage trail

Thanks to Evelyn from the Ventnor and Undercliff Heritage Partnership for this latest news. Ed

Readers will remember news of the Ventnor and Undercliff Heritage Partnership reported recently following the latest Ventnor Town council meeting.

Its objectives are to present and promote the heritage of Ventnor and the Undercliff, Isle of Wight, in a range of formats and activities that will engage residents and visitors.

The Partnership will deliver heritage through a Website, a town heritage Trail, a heritage festival, guided tours and similar outreach activities.

Interactive heritage trail
To encourage interest and learning in local heritage, the main focus will be on the Ventnor Heritage Trail.

The Trail will consist of interpretation boards located around the Parish. The boards will have text, photographs and links to more information through smart phone apps.

There will be a supporting Website that will have links to sites with further information. A Trail leaflet, with map, will describe the Trail and guide those who undertake it.

We need your help
We are currently preparing a funding application to the Heritage Lottery Fund and, to help with that, we need to hear from you!

Please spare a few minutes to complete our survey. You can do it online on our Website or find copies in Ventnor Library.

We look forward to hearing from you.
