Liz Earle Beauty Company to close Ryde warehouse and office, with staff to relocate

The Liz Earle Beauty Company has announced they will be closing their Nicholson Road, Ryde warehouse and office, with the majority of staff relocating to other locations on the Island.

The business is understood to employ just over 100 staff currently working from that site. A spokesperson for the company told OnTheWight that although they weren’t able to give exact numbers, under 40 staff will go into consultation and be offered a chance to relocate to Mainland offices in Nottingham or London.

The spokesperson explained,

“Following a recent review, we have made the decision to relocate some of our Liz Earle Beauty operations and close our Ryde-based office and warehouse.

“As a business we are committed to operating an agile and effective organisation and delivering the best customer experience.”

“The large majority of affected team members will move to work from one of our other Isle of Wight sites”
They go on to add,

“This was not an easy decision to make, but was taken to support this commitment and to ensure long-term, sustainable growth for Liz Earle Beauty, which remains a valuable part of our portfolio.

“The large majority of affected team members will move to work from one of our other Isle of Wight sites. This will allow our teams to work more closely, creating greater connection and collaboration in our ways of working.”

The other Isle of Wight sites will remain fully operational, and Liz Earle Beauty Company say they are committed to supporting their teams throughout this process.
